As you can see Toby stood twice,District and Town,in the St.Ives-South ward-Town Council- he polled 354 votes,in the St.Ives-East ward – Huntingdon District- he polled 118,which was sadly not enough votes to win his sponsorship bet for a donation to the local hospital. He gave it a good go though, hard luck Juggy, you did well !
Another mention in dispatches to Carl Moorecroft,a great result first time in,well done !
Also Omar Mehban and Lord Louche,new members,but were raring to go from the start,
Maybe ‘The Louche’ has opened new pastures green for us up in Scotland, lets hope so.
All three of these,have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and cant wait until the next time.
Crazy Crab and Polly Titian are past masters, they have stood before,so knew what they were up to,and knew how to get ‘not too many’ votes as did the Howling ‘Laud’.
If, as always, its a case of who comes last is the overall winner,I suppose ‘Badger’ is in with a shout with 1 vote,but in fairness the constituency polled 57 votes,with the help of Chinners and the crew.Well done to you all,I know you all had fun and enjoyed every minute of it.
So if you work out ‘he who comes last wins’,with a bit of Political Spin Doctoring and Skullduggery on the constituencies alone,it must be that man who polled just 39 votes.
You must admit its a typical politicians way of making things read how you want them to read !

Rumour has it that William Hill is laying odds of 5/1 on “How long it will be before they change the law limiting the number of candidates in one election”, 
500/1 on “How long will it be before they ban the Loony Party on grounds of Public Health” and 
2/1 on “How long it is before only Conservatives, Labour and Liberal can stand in any election…

This time around, William Hill has given me a free £50 bet that I poll more than 566 votes at odds of 5/1 in the St Ives East Ward for Huntingdonshire District Council elections, which, if I win, I will be donating to the Rosie House Appeal for Sick Children at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

It won’t be easy, as I’m standing against the leader of the council, Jason Ablewhite, in an area so Tory that, if they stuck a blue rosette on a lamp post, people would vote for it.

If you want a colourful character who speaks his mind for local people on local issues and will put the area on the map, there is only one choice on May 3, and that’s to vote for me and at the same time help me raise money for the Rosie House Appeal.

I’m also contesting a seat for the South Ward of St Ives Council on the same day. If elected, I will really put St Ives on the map and boost tourism by becoming the first Official Monster Raving Loony councillor in Cambridgeshire’s history.

February I was at the ‘Bath Ball’ fraternising with a few party members,this is an annual event run privately,but over the years alot of party goers have joined our party !

March saw myself and a few of you running around getting nomination papers filled in to stand in Local elections,all in all,we have 20 candidates standing, well done.
Papers had to be in by 4th April,but wont know results until 3rd May.
I personally had to get mine filled in pretty quick cause on the 22nd March i was off to Bradford to fight this Gorgeous George Galloway in the Bradford West By-election. But,as always I have found the easiest way to do this is, pen
and paper in hand, just sit for half an hour in your local Wetherspoons,job done.

Bradford was great fun,spent 8 days there doing TV,radio,newspapers,interviews for magazines etc,in fact the publicity for Bradford over all, was probably some of the best we have ever had.We worked hard especially Nick ‘The Flying Brick’ and Charon ‘Slaphead’ Singh without who’s help it would have been a far greater task.
Lord Toby was a great asset on the internet,plus lets not forget the locals who made us very welcome.William,Landlord of our HQ ‘The New Beehive Inn’ faultless, a big thanks to him. He joined in on the count night along with Charon and his helpers.
Mr R.U.Seerius and Lady Hellenback,Flying Brick and Sam Thing, all suitably dressed for the occasion.
’111′ One Hundred and Eleven people wanted the Raving Loony Party to represent them in Parliament,at least some got it right ! Probably 18,000 got it wrong,we shall see ! ! !
