07/03/09 Vomit on Mandelson
Whilst we dont agree with the Politics of Peter Mandelson (well most of us) , we also dont agree with the antics of people who dont agree with views other than their own, that its ok to attack that person with eggs, vomit green custard or even physical blows. Politicians should be able to do their job, and express their views without fear of attack. This is what democracy is about. If you dont like it vote them out.

On Friday 27th March "Howlin Laud Hope" drove to Kent, to support "Sheikh Mihand" in his quest to win a seat in the Sittingbourne area. Whilst there he met up with our long supporting loony member "Hairy Knorm" at his headquarters "The Elephant" in Faversham, and was escorted around the town by the Sheikh Mihand. After savouring the fine ales that were on hand, they parted company until the Sun night when they met up in "The Three Hats" in Milton Regis, the S/bourne HQ. "Laud Hope" Sheikh, and Hairy met up with Mad Mike Young, who does actually hold a seaton his parish council. They were in the company of DAVID LALE a film director who is contemplating making a documentary about our party. So all is well, things are happening, watch here for any future news. 26/02/09 LOONY LEADER ON TOUR
Thurs Feb 26th "Howlin Laud Hope" was invited to talk at STRODE'S college, Egham. At 12noon Laud Hope and Crocodile Keith arrived in the LOONY MOBILE, by courtesey of the Croc, as he owns and maintains it, and was greeted by about 200 students, who all gathered in the main hall and were very, very attentive whilst Alan Hope gave them a 45 min speech on the history and achievements of our illustrious party.
Interspersed with rounds of applause and whoops of laughter all went well. Alan then opened up the meeting for a question-answer session for another half hr, which turned out to be very hilarious. After shaking hands and signing autographs we left knowing that we had put a smile on everybody's face. AND whats more, being invited back next year !
14/2/09 STATE VISIT TO MALTA.
Alan Howlin Lawd Hope paid a suprise state visit to Malta. He writes"I Went and paid our respects to Oliver Reed,a fine actor and he was also an Honourary Party Member and had been for years. He died in Malta in his favourite pub whilst filming "The Gladiator".
In both 1988-1989 and 1993-1994 he had threatened to be the guest of honour at four party conferences in Devon but his filming schedule wouldn't allow it in the end. However Party Members are very welcome at "The Pub" (yes, thats what its called) nicknamed 'Ollies Last Stand' 136,Archbishop Street, Valletta, Malta. Graham and Andita (landlords) will show you lots of memorabilia including one of Ollies T-shirts with Loony Badge and Rossette on it.
Tell all your friends and neighbours to give them a visit. They are always sure of a Loony Welcome"
12/2/09. Well done Cartwright.
John Cartwright who stood at the Waddon local election, maintained our Loony tradition of coming last with 11 votes. We would like to thank the 11 persons who voted for our candidate, which shows that all is not lost in Waddon. The seeds of Loonyism have been sown. It has to be said, that out of the total electorate (11173) 7995 didnt vote at all. Presumably they didnt feel that their vote would count against the larger political parties. (They always win dont they?) So we say once again,
EVERY VOTE COUNTS. WELL DONE FOR YOUR EFFORTS JOHN CARTWRIGHT .

JAPANESE BANKING CRISIS
Following the problems in the sub-prime lending market in America and the run on Northern Rock in the UK, uncertainty has now hit Japan.
In the last 7 days Origami Bank has folded, Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank announced plans to cut some of its branches.
Yesterday, it was announced that Karaoke Bank is up for sale and will likely go for a song, while today shares in Kamikaze Bank were suspended after they nose-dived.
While Samurai Bank fell on its sword, Ninja Bank is reported to have taken a hit, but they remain in the black.
Furthermore, 500 staff at Karate Bank got the chop and analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank where it is feared that staff may get a raw deal
20/01/09 Economic Solution
The Government have made it quite clear that a contributory factor in the present economic downturn is bad management of Hedge funds. It is proposed that all hedge funds will be banned and replaced with a proper brick wall, with footings.

14/01/09 Council Election in Waddon
We are pleased to announce that our candidate for Croyden John Cartwright will be standing at the council election in Waddon constituency on 12th Feb. Good Luck John. The election has been called due to the tragic death on New Year's Eve of the Mayor of Croydon, Cllr Jonathan Driver. John cartwright comments "His sudden passing at the age of only 41 takes from us the youngest Mayor in Croydon's recent history, and also, in my experience, one who could control the council chamber with good humour and fairness more than many of his predecessors". We send our condolences to Cllr Drivers family and friends.

10/01/09 Music once again under threat
Another piece of proposed legislation that will adversely affect live music in the UK:
It has been brought to attention that the government wish to consider it a legal requirement in the new tax year to introduce laws insisting anyone applying or re-applying for an entertainment license must have a noise control device fitted to the venue. This will be the final NAIL for ALL entertainment in the UK as the level at which these devices CUT you off is dreadfully low and damaging.
PLEASE DO NOT INTRODUCE THIS LAW, WE LOVE LIVE MUSIC!
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION HERE:
