21/05/09 Highly qualified M.P's
Gordon Brown has confirmed that Sorting out expenses for M.P's will be dealt with by an outside agency (not the M.P's themselves) this will help M.P's who cannot deal with their expenses themselves. A Loony party spokes man commented "Oviously running the country is much easier than sorting out their expenses".
To Gordon's credit the Government has agreed that all Gurkha veterans who retired before 1997 with at least four years' service will be allowed to settle in the UK,..quite right too. It was said that successive Governments had ignored this issue for too long....(Whereas this Goverment only ignored it for 11 years).
Mr Brown told the House of Commons (last Wednesday) that he had a "great deal of sympathy and support" for the Gurkhas. He added: "I believe it is possible for us to honour our commitments to the Gurkhas and to do so in a way that protects the public finances. A Loony party spokes man commented "We wholeheartedly agree with this new policy however we presume there will be a little left for those deserving bankers"
18/05/09 Another Scapegoat
Well it seems that parliament has finally founded a scapegoat for the M.P's expenses row. Its all the fault of Michael martin M.P
.jpg)
Admittedly this guy has made mistakes, the biggest it seems is supporting his fellow M.P's, however by forcing his resignation M.P's have managed to completely distract attention from the fact that they are all responsible in some degree or other for allowing the expenses system to remain, and as a result its abuse by many M.P's
Let us not forget its The M.P's who have abused this system and fiddled thousands of pounds of taxpayers money for their own selfish gain. I assume that the spectre of a by-election will take the pressure off for a while as well, except that the taxpayer will of course have to pay for it. AGAIN
16/05/09 No truer word
"It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonoured by your contempt for all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice;
ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government;
ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage…
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you?
Is there one vice you do not possess?
Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your god; which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes?…
Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; ye were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress'd, and are yourselves gone…
In the name of God, go!"

13/05/09 They're all at it.....
It is incumbent upon us as a political party to comment on the Expenses scandal currently doing the rounds at
But are we really surprised and shocked... No.
Politicians on the make are no more than we expect. Our surprise is that they got caught being so blatant.
It only goes to show the contempt that politicians hold for their constituents. Apparently these miscreants are busy paying back large amounts of money claimed, with an apology for their "mistake"
But this has been going on for years and is part of the Political culture.
I rest my case....
As an employee if I was found to be blatantly fiddling I would be dismissed or even worse charge with fraud. I would certainly lose my job.
This is what should happen to any M.P found fiddling. It seems that even though they have been found out, they still maintain their positions of power, and still receive over £1,000 per week wages
Let it be said though that not all M.P's are on the fiddle. Some work extremely hard and are scrupulously honest and have integrity.
But unfortunately they are all tarred with the same brush.
In order to reduce the amounts of money paid out several ideas have been put forward by the leaders of the Political parties, including an Independent office to scrutinise expenses or reduce the number of M.P's
But who pays for the scrutineers...we do..
who pays if the M.Ps are reduced in number? we do (in less representation)
As far as I am concerned the solution is simple.
Any M.P found blatantly fiddling must resign or be sacked immediately with no Golden handshakes and massive pensions, and they should be made to pay the costs of another by election, which their dishonesty would cause.
1/05/09 More News on the Recession
As our car manufacturers suffer in this the biggest recession since....the last one.. U.K car manufacturers are now sending their design requirements abroad.
Our thanks to our agent secret Squirrel who has been out finding the latest designs. he writes: The car has a very simple design, basically a bunch of wood scraps tied together with wire, four wheels, and a seat that can barely fit one person. An open frame allows for a nice breeze, so an air conditioner is not required, and it even has a headlight.
No word on the gas mileage this things gets, but all in all the vehicle is pretty impressive.
