A Message from our Leader. Alan “Howlin Laud” Hope
Well what can I say more than “Well done to you all” a Great turnout all 27 of us,WE DID WELL.
Boastful ‘Colin Dale’ has every, reason to be boastful, he did best of us all 856 votes against the Speaker of the house John Bercow in Buckingham.
‘Lord Toby’ did very well in Huntingdonwith 548, ‘Dancing Ken’,74 years old and still dancing the night away in Cheltenham with 493.
New candidate ‘Martin Hogbin’ in Surrey East polled 422,
‘Chinners’ did very well with 341 considering that he was making badges contributing to the web site and got a bit snowed under to do the campaigning that he normally would do.
Hairy Knorm in Faversham Mid Kent with 398 did well.
Stalwart campaigner ‘Top Cat Owen’ in Wokingham our deputy leader, achieved 329.
How many of you noticed that ‘Mad Mike Young’,Sittingbourne and Sheppey and ‘George Ridgeon’ in Tewksbury got exactly the same amount of votes 319.
All the rest of us wonderful people got enough votes to regain our deposit from William Hill, except-and our hearts must go out to him ‘Crucial Chris’ in Barking he polled 82,albeit, it was a hard seat to be in, most voters giving an astounding victory to Labour for reasons known only to themselves.
Liked all the bits of publicity that I have seen so far, I suppose you all saw the amazing pictures in the Telegraph, Saturday and Sunday, absolutely fanfastic, liked Knigel Knapp’s bike ride down the Thames and saw Ken and George inside their local Will Hill shop. Yes all in all you can give yourselves a round of applause, and all of you new candidates who have never stood before, the ‘LAUD’ applaudes you, hope you enjoyed it and will take another trip with us along the highway to Parliament next time (may be sooner than you think).
I am able to tell you now that ‘Graham Sharpe’ of William Hill is very pleased with the outcome and that I shall be meeting with him on Thurs 20th May to see who did what and when and sort out the final outcome, and have a chat about what may happen in the future. Once again well done to you all, Myself and Lord Sutch are proud of you.
~ Howling Laud Hope, Party Leader
