The Jersey outpost of the OMRLP is still thriving and we recently had a visit from Professor Nabob (Bob Stanton) from Aldershot. He came with his daughter Jane, son-in-law Matthew (an RAF Medic) and their daughter Millie.
They were royally entertained and fortunately for us had to stay another night and day because rough seas prevented any ferry sailings!

Last year I went on a gruelling expedition deep into the Sahara Desert right down near the Algerian border. We were in a military controlled zone and were accompanied by a couple of Tuareg tribesmen who were able to steer us past the minefields without being seen by the Algerian Army manning the Border Forts. I left the largest ‘OMRLP’ outline I could trace in the sand along with ‘Vote for Insanity – You Know It Makes Sense’ over a huge Dune. That will give them something to ponder as they scan the vast emptiness of the area!
