They’re all at it…..
It is incumbent upon us as a political party to comment on the Expenses scandal currently doing the rounds at Westminster.
But are we really surprised and shocked… No.
Politicians on the make are no more than we expect. Our surprise is that they got caught being so blatant.
It only goes to show the contempt that politicians hold for their constituents. Apparently these miscreants are busy paying back large amounts of money claimed, with an apology for their “mistake”
But this has been going on for years and is part of the Political culture.

I rest my case….
As an employee if I was found to be blatantly fiddling I would be dismissed or even worse charge with fraud. I would certainly lose my job.
This is what should happen to any M.P found fiddling. It seems that even though they have been found out, they still maintain their positions of power, and still receive over £1,000 per week wages
Let it be said though that not all M.P’s are on the fiddle. Some work extremely hard and are scrupulously honest and have integrity.
But unfortunately they are all tarred with the same brush.
In order to reduce the amounts of money paid out several ideas have been put forward by the leaders of the Political parties, including an Independent office to scrutinise expenses or reduce the number of M.P’s
But who pays for the scrutineers…we do..
who pays if the M.Ps are reduced in number? we do (in less representation)
As far as I am concerned the solution is simple.
Any M.P found blatantly fiddling must resign or be sacked immediately with no Golden handshakes and massive pensions, and they should be made to pay the costs of another by election, which their dishonesty would cause.
