Spotlight on Cardiff
With St.Georges Day only a week away today’s spotlight falls on The Good Knight Sir Nosda, our candidate in Cardiff Central.
Tell us a bit about you and your campaign
I’m a prematurely grey, and am planning to contest this campaign in the spirit of my victorious 2004 campaign to become Glamorgan Student Union’s Non-Sabbatical Officer for Welsh Affairs.
What 3 words best describe your political outlook?
If it has to start with 3, then I guess the answer is Freedom. The Monster Raving Loony party has a proud tradition of protecting freedom of expression, including the freedom to make a fool out of yourself, and remains committed to freeing the people of the UK from income tax, scary terrorists and wire coat-hangers.
Who is your political hero?
Lord Sutch, the longest serving party leader in British politics, the greatest Prime Minister the country never had and a great entertainer. Of all the current MPs I would have to say that Paul Flynn who I met with recently at a disability awareness event in Westminster as been the most supportive and helpful in my campaign, and also to his credit he does not seem as evil as most members of the labour party.
How do you rate your chances?
According to William Hill my chances are about 1,000/1. I’m sure those odds would get shorter though if the 35,000 voters in Cardiff Central all decide to take a bet on me. Another bookmaker already has me at 500/1 so I suggest you run down to William Hill, and remember to vote Mark Beech, Monster Raving Loony William Hill Party on May 6th.
