Our thanks to James Graham the writer, and Jenny Topper co-producer, for inviting members of The Official Monster Raving Loony Party along to see this astounding extravaganza of Screaming Lord Sutch’s life and times last Saturday.

We met in the Nellie Dean Pub in Dean Street, for a pre-show gathering. The Flying Brick, Knigel ‘Big Fibber’ Knapp, Lady Linda Landers, Barking ‘Mad’ Barker, OB Joyful, Lawd Lawson, The elegant Yvonne Elwood and The Howling ‘Laud’.

The show itself was beyond all expectation and the cast kept us entertained for the full two hours.

It kept you on the edge of your seat, through strengths and sorrows, wondering what was going to happen next, and was a fast moving slapstick dance through the sixties to the nineties.  Sam James who played the lead roll was incredible with an eerie insight to the man himself. Our joint leader Catmando had a roll to play with Stuart Hughes, Freddy Zapp and myself also featured.

Laughter and sadness, it was hard to keep a dry eye at the end. A excellent play, if you remember ‘The Man’ its well worth seeing,  if you never met him, even better! A great experience catching up on one of life’s great characters.
