It is with great sadness and shock that I have to report the passing of Richard Knowles, erstwhile known as Dick Knowles amongst his friends. A great friend of mine and
Lord Sutch. We first met him in Wales, he was a very well known DJ and a very good vocalist. He moved out to Lanzarote and I lost track of him for some years, eventually we found each other after some time through the internet. I used to go to Lanzarote very often as his guest. He kept the name of the party going out there, I made him The Party Chairman of the Canary Islands branch. His Loony Name was, Ri – DICK – ulous Knowles.
He was a director of the Islands Radio Station called ‘Monster Radio’ in Playa Honda. The Brits out there on holiday loved it.
Would like to mention Janet Thomas another friend of mine who looked after Dick until the end. He will be well missed by myself and all that knew him, a very passionate Party Member. Cheerio my Friend
