Well another Loony party Conference comes to a close, and what a stormer.
This year supporters came from far and wide to attend the Conference In Uttoxeter, Staffs.
The proceedings started on Fri with 2 Great Bands (Gripper and the Gurnards, and BB Black dog) and an appearance with our own Big Fibbers (Check out their new album – better still buy it) to much acclaim.
Sat continued with entertainment in the afternoon supplied by The Black Pigs and Baccinalia Morris Groups (most of whom are members) and a walk through round the Town. to be followed by an Evening of entertainment with Shamus O’blivion and the fibbers once again.
Throughout the weekend the emphasis was on meeting old friends, making new ones and discussions around the future direction of the Party. As far as I can acertain the general consensus is for the Party to go Forward for three weeks and then turn left or possibly right at the traffic lights.
News of a re-birth of our Rochdale Branch, (click here for news report)  a forthcoming election in Manchester and Cardiff, and an agreement that this Government will fall, due to a Loony Landslide in the next election.
Also discussed was the possibility of the Loony Party promoting more Music venues and gigs (We are the Party of Rock N Roll).

All the loony members had to get in a cabinet laid on the ground and shuffle. The Cabinet held, there was no split and no one fell out of the cabinet (A sign of things to come).

All in all a great weekend……It was generally agreed that the entertainment this year was excellent, of high standard and diverse. so to Gripper and the Gurnards (Punk Rock) BB Black Dog (Steampunk) Shamus O’blivion (Celtic Rock) Black Pigs and Baccinalia (Anarchic Morris Dancing) and Big Fibbers…(undescribable) A Big Big Thankyou. Finally…. (and we didnt mention One Nation 49 times)
