Music licenses – Another Loony Policy becomes Law
Yet another of our ideas come to fruition. Screaming Lord Sutch and Alan Howlin Laud Hope were screaming and Howlin about this in 1987. Some M.P’s agreed at the time but 25 years on we’ve done it again. We did get lots of support from landlords around the country and “Stuart Neame” of “Shepard and Neame (the U.K’s oldest Brewery) congratulated us back then.
The Loony Party (As the Official Party of the promotion of music) Welcome the news that the Government have now relaxed the laws allowing music to be performed without the silly and stringent laws that we have had over the last few years.
This will encourage Venues, Pubs to put on Live Music (NO !!!!- Hari Kareoke, isnt live music) This is great for the Music Business, Bands , Records companies, and our hard pressed Landlords, not to mention the Hearing Aid Industry.
The sceptical amongst us will say that this is just a gimmick by the current Government to gain votes from the young, who can now spend time being entertained, whilst being unemployed.
The Loony party is already in discussion with promoters to get some venues and bands out there asap.
