Royal mail – not delivering
The Royal Mail are complaining that due to increased competition, profits for the half year. I repeat half year, are only £218million… I repeat £218 million
It seems that other companies can do the same job (cherry pick) for less and big companies like Amazon are planning there own delivery service.
This may be in part due to the fact that the cost of sending packages is now so expensive and difficult to work out, and that by using other companies, deliveries actually arrive.
The solution according to Royal Mail is to put up prices, especially in areas where it may be difficult to deliver, such as England , Scotland , Wales and N.Ireland
As a small business I tend to find that if you put up prices and give a worse service you tend to lose customers not gain them…but what do I know?
P.S The Loony Party would re-nationalise the Royal Mail so that the only shareholders would be the public, and all the profits (the measly £218m every 6months) would be reinvested in a good cheap service. We will also bring out a stamp with a silhouette of our glorious leader wearing his white suit, on it.
