Hello again,
A very busy November, starting off in Llanwrtyd Wells.
Got the Real Ale Wobble under way, part of the Beer Festival week, you would think that it would be a glorified pub crawl wouldn’t you.No such thing !

It was,600 mountain bikers racing through hills and valleys to to reach the allotted beer stops, suprisingly enough,no accidents and nobody got lost as in other years.

Met up with our candidate from Brecon and Radnorshire,Chris Rogers (Lord Offa of the Dykes)and his lovely wife. Also met ‘Miss Lilly of the Pink,a newish party member who never stops doing ‘anything’.Many of you will meet her later on,she’s quite impressive. Also must thank Lindsey and Catherine, mine hosts of the Neuadd Arms Hotel for there hospitality,Peter at
the ‘Stoneycroft’ and all others who made this an enjoyable occasion.
Then as I mentioned before on to Ludlow, met up with Alan Powell and his wife Dianne at his ‘Nelson Inn’ Met many of his Loony friends, especially one called Flloyd who owns two pubs in town.He is also an ex Town Mayor like myself,so a bit in common.Dont think he would take much persuading to join up you know !
Next stop Crewe,a day or so ahead of myself now, so I stopped off a night with my sister Mary and her hubby Paul always pleased to hear about us loonies. Also brought back memories of when we fought the Crewe and Nantwich
By-election with Miss Great Britain.
On to Blackpool, four very good days. Day one,Wed, met up with Tony Davies who stood in Blackpool North and the Cleverleys, had a very good night out in the new Wetherspoons, ‘Albert and the Lion’.Tony had made arrangements
for me to stay at a guest house owned by a friend of his for two nights.Well Done !
Day two, once again teamed up with another party member Vince Cornwall, known Vince a good few years now so its always nice to see him.
Day three and four, now the guest of the H.O.B.D. so moved on to a rather posh hotel called ‘The Mode’ in Lytham St.Annes.Entertained Thurs evening by members of this illustrious club, yeah, you guessed it,another pub crawl and a rather
nice restaurant thrown in later.
Then—-Day four, the reason I’m here,to be guest of honour and after dinner speaker at the Lytham St.Annes Cricket Club for these wonderful people that I met out in Jersey some time ago.All arranged by Party Member Terry Batty, obviously got called
Nora, in fact ‘Knorra Stockingsoff’,minister for older ladies underwear.Terry used to be a landlord in my local town of Fleet before moving up to Blackpool,he was the Master of Ceremonies and a fine job he did too.
All done, not yet,had to call in to Oldham on Sunday to check out the forth coming By-election,not much to see on a Sun but got a bit of a feeling for the place,we intend standing there.(a bit more about that later). Off to Barnsley next to visit a long lost cousin of
mine,we both ended up with tears in our eyes,(silly old fools) and her husband Ronnie,
Nice to see you Shirley !
Same evening drove on down to Derbyshire to the village where ‘The Flying Brick’ lives, booked into his local pub in Kirk Ireton and met up with Him,R.U.Seerius and his wonderful (wife) ? Lady Helanbak. We had a nice evening chatting about looniness
and things of a silly nature.
Arrived home at last, only to find Mad Max Bobetsky armed with camera and microphones ready to do an interview for some prestidious shoot that he intends to put up on the Web Site, when he’s done what he’s doing with it,all went well quite interesting.
More about Oldham,I had every intention of fighting this seat myself had it have been after January,we were looking at Feb 3rd. Today they announced that it will be Thurs Jan 13th ,I cant do it I shall be in Malta visiting our friends out there and paying my
respects to a fine character of a man Oliver Reed, who was our minister for Maltese affairs. Nevertheless Nick Delves is our Brick he is Flying to my aid, living up to his name, and he will stand for us,any help you may wish to give or want to support call him or myself or E-mail web master. To be honest I’m quite annoyed its turned out this way but Nick is a stalwart of the party and he has my support. We are led to believe that there will be more elections in the offing in the new year.
So until then
Merry Christmas
and a
Very Happy New Year

~ Howling Laud.
